Below you will find a list of Restaurants in the area that I recommend, I would also suggest that you call ahead and make reservations, as most of these restaurants are quite busy!
TEODORAA (East 57th Street): Our favorite Italian restaurant, ask for Roberta or Giancarlo, the owners, you can say you are staying in one of our apartments, they know us very well!! 1-212-826-7101
OPIA (57th and Lexington): Upper Level Bar/Restaurant in Manhattan.
LE COLONIALE: French/Vietnamese restaurant with excellent food, Yoko Ono eats here often.
P J CLARKE'S (55th and Third): The Best burgers in town. Be sure to admire the building, it is a true NYC treasure.
ROSA MEXICANA (58th and 1st Avenue): The best guacamole prepared right in front of your eyes! This is not your typical taco restaurant, but rather an upscale fun restaurant with the best Latin food. I recommend the filet mignon with "hongos" (Mexican mushrooms) and Tequila sauce. I have seen John Kennedy Jr. here a few times.
DOS CAMINOS (Park Avenue South): An upscale but "downtown" Mexican restaurant, it is very modern and has excellent food.
LES SANS COULOTTES (57th and 2nd): An affordable restaurant with the feel of a French Bistro and home to the best mussels with white wine in NYC. Here you can get an extensive and delicious three course meal for only twenty two dollars!
L'ENTRECOTE (1st Avenue between 57th and 58th): An adorable Manhattan French bistro with the feel of being in Paris.
BALTHAZAR (60 Spring St): French Bistro that specializes in a wide array of seafood.
MACELLERIA (48 Gansevoort St): Delicious Italian Steakhouse restaurant with exquisite food.
PASTIS (9 Ninth Ave): Located in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District, a great French Bistro with an additional outdoor café.
NOBU (40 W.57th St.): Owned by Robert De Niro, exquisite Japanese Cuisine by legendary chef Nobu Matsuhsia.
